Jack Irvine completed a perfect weekend hat-trick of podiums, finishing third, just 1.510 seconds behind Patterson. Stuart McPhaden and Jensen Bell rounded out the top five. Unfortunately, Michael Williams was the sole DNF of the heat, and with Ross Wilkinson’s R53 still out of action, the Cooper pack delivered a masterclass in fair but fierce bumper-to-bumper racing.
